TODAYS EARTH PULSE

Global temperature still on the up although, global mean temperature tells a different story, feeling freezing in much of the northern hemisphere.

Jet Stream; Still continuing its hold over Europe and Asia however, it's starting to recede over North America.

Snow Cover; Still receding, however, forecasts suggest that some cover may bounce back by the end of the week, much like it did in Scandinavia in mid February.

Solar Activity; Sunspot AR1711 is large but quiet. The chance of flares today remains low.

Lunar Cycle; 53% illuminated.

Volcanic Activity; On the up in Europe, some heavy volcanic activity going on in Iceland.

El Niño; Stretching the whole length of the Pacific Ocean, however, having no affect on the Atlantic Ocean and climate in the northern hemisphere.
